Orbita is a private, self-hosted tool operated by Ricardo Rodríguez (contact: ricardorodriguez2989@gmail.com) to manage his own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public and has a single user: its owner.

YouTube API Services

Orbita uses YouTube API Services. By using Orbita you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information obtained through YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

What data Orbita accesses

When the owner connects one of his YouTube channels through Google OAuth, Orbita accesses, for that channel only: channel information (name, description, branding, statistics), the channel's videos and their metadata, comments on the channel's videos, captions, playlists, and YouTube Analytics reports. It also stores the video files, thumbnails and caption files the owner uploads through Orbita, and his scheduled posts.

How the data is used

The data is used only to provide Orbita's features to its owner: uploading and scheduling his videos, editing their metadata, replying to comments on his channels, and showing his own statistics. Orbita does not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties, does not use it for advertising, and does not access other users' channels or private data.

Storage and security

All data, including OAuth tokens, is stored locally in a database on the owner's own computer. Remote access to the tool is protected by a password and encrypted HTTPS. Data stays there until the owner deletes it.

Revoking access

Access can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page, or by using the "Disconnect" button in Orbita's settings, which deletes the stored tokens for that channel. Stored data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days as required by YouTube API Services policies.

Cookies

Orbita uses a single session cookie to keep the owner logged in. It does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
